On July 16, 2026, OpenCircle Contractors Association celebrated a significant milestone: our 40th anniversary. This commemorative event, 40PROOF, served as the launch pad for a number of exciting new initiatives, while also reflecting on the journey that brought us here. Like a fine spirit aged in a barrel, something special quietly took shape behind the scenes. 40PROOF marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for OpenCircle Contractors Association as we launched a refreshed brand and new website. Join us as we look back on an unforgettable evening and celebrate the moments that will continue to shape the OpenCircle Contractors Association legacy for years to come.

We were honored to have The Honourable Danielle Smith, Premier of Alberta, attend the 40PROOF event. During our VIP Legacy Lounge opening reception the Premier presented the Inaugural Premier's Award for Youth and Apprenticeship to Western Electrical Management, received by Scott White, President & CEO of Western Electrical Management.
OpenCircle Contractors Association Brand
A big highlight of our 40PROOF event was the announcement of our brand refresh and name update. Taking 40 years of legacy we added contractors association back to our name. Paired with a fresh new colour pallet and new branding identity we call the Hexel, we are looking to our next 40 years.
We are proud to celebrate our heritage and founding as Merit Contractors Association. This celebration of our history was the base of this brand refresh.
