Get the Best Value from your Accountant and Banker to Build your Business

OpenCircle’s Leadership in Business Series kicks off this September. We’ve partnered with MNP to bring you seven online facilitator-led courses that focus on three pillars vital to your business – finance, strategy, and leadership. The courses are designed to give you the skills to help you confidently sustain and grow your business.

Here’s a sneak peek into our FINANCE courses.

Financial Fluency Part 1

Do you speak accountant? Are you fluent in speaking banker?

Your accountant and banker both play key roles in the success of your business. They want to provide you with the best support for building your business – but do you know how to get the optimal value from them? You will when you’re ‘financially fluent’, can speak their language and know what questions to ask.

What you’ll learn:

  • How to read and understand key financial statement concepts, the inter-relationship between financial statement items, cash requirement, and the budgeting process
  • Learn ways to use financial information to identify the areas of your business that are flourishing and the areas that require improvement

Date: September 7, from 9 – 10:30 a.m. MT

Financial Fluency Part 2

What you’ll learn:

  • Discuss drivers of profitability for your business and how to interpret financial information so you can use it in your decision making
  • Learn common ratios, compare benchmarks and trends, and identify immediate business strategies you can use to increase your revenues and decrease expenditures

Date: October 4, from 9 – 10:30 a.m. MT

Managing Cashflow

Do you understand cash flow and how it impacts your business?

A large percentage of business failures are not due to a poor business concept but rather the lack of a proper cash flow management program. Businesses that manage their cash flow well can bridge the gap from surviving to thriving. They can operate smoothly and invest in the things that make them more successful.

What you’ll learn:

  • Using a case study exercise, you come to understand cash flow and how it impacts your business
  • Identify the steps required in the development of a cash flow statement and learn key tools that will help you effectively manage your cash flow needs now and, in the future

Date:  November 2, from 9 – 10:30 a.m. MT
